As Principal and Co-Founder of Capital Strategies, John specializes in serving both corporate and affluent individual clients. He has served with the firm since 1989. 

John is a member of FINSECA, formerly known as the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters (AALU), CLU, ChFC, and the Birmingham Estate Planning Council. He also served as the M Holdings Securities OSJ Supervisory Principal, and is FINRA Series 7 and 63 licensed.

Outside the office, John is a member of the United Way Toqueville society and supports the Alabama Symphony Orchestra as well as the Birmingham Museum of Art.

John and his wife, Molly, have three grown children and four grandchildren. Whenever possible, he makes time for fly fishing, hunting, tennis, and enjoying fine wines.

John earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Alabama.
